L.O.T.S. Video Library

The LOTS Library, in addition to containing the club's Reference Library and archives of Switcher, also contains our Video Library. Videotapes are loaned to members, free of charge, as a unique service of your membership.
All tapes are VHS format and may be used at meets or for home viewing. Because LOTS' meet hosts are given first priority for the tapes to promote operation of Lionel trains with maximum exposure, videotapes may not be lent out to individual members for home viewing within 45 days of a scheduled meet.
Members may borrow club owned videotapes from the LOTS Assistant Librarian under the following guidelines:
Deposit: A deposit of US $20 (payable to "LOTS") is required for each tape requested to cover potential loss and/or damage. This requirement is waived for approved meet hosts.
Postage: Postage to the borrower is paid for by LOTS, however, the return postage is the responsibility of the borrower. Members are required to use UPS or registered mail when returning the tapes in order to trace packages in the event of loss.
Return tapes within 30 days of shipment from LOTS Assistant Librarian. When tapes are returned, the deposit will be refunded. If the tapes are not received within 30 days of initial shipment to a member, the deposit will be forfeited, and a replacement videotape purchased for our library.
Members interested in obtaining these VHS videotapes should write, or call, the club's Video Librarian to determine whether they will be available at the time desired. Please include your $20.00 deposit check with a written order to ensure prompt service. Because only one copy is available of most tapes, you may be placed on a waiting list for some loan requests.
